A facility may run any number of active shifts per 24 hours. Notive uses shift windows to decide which shift a carer is documenting for when they record.

Defaults

New facilities start with Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts. Windows are set at facility creation and shown in the local timezone of the facility.

Customising

Go to Manager → Settings → Shifts.
Adjust start and end times, or deactivate shifts your facility does not run.
Add additional shifts (e.g. "Evening", "Overnight") with their own windows.

Be careful with past shifts

Changing a shift window does not retroactively reassign existing notes. Past notes remain linked to the shift they were originally recorded against.
